2026 Children's Summer Food Program
The Children’s Summer Food Program delivers seven nutritious frozen meals each week to school-aged children of families facing food insecurity. Running from July 8 to September 2, the program is dedicated to supporting households with demonstrated financial need, ensuring children have access to healthy meals all summer long.
Who is eligible for the Children’s Summer Food Program?
Children must be school-aged (Kindergarten to Grade 12, as of September 2026), and able to consume solid food.
This program is primarily intended to support PEI families currently receiving financial support through the Social Assistance or Assured Income programs. However, families not enrolled in these programs who are experiencing financial hardship, may complete a registration form.
How do I apply?
Registration will open on Friday, May 29, 2026, and remain open until August 4th, please see registration deadlines below for more details. To apply, please fill out the form linked at the bottom of this webpage.
