Who is eligible to apply for externally posted registered nursing positions with Health PEI? 

  • Individuals who are currently registered to practice as a registered nurse in Canada, 
  • Individuals who will be registered to practice as a registered nurse in Canada within the next 6 months, and 
  • Students who will graduate from a recognized Bachelor of Nursing Program or Registered Nurse Bridging Program within the next 6 months.

What information do I need to complete the application process? 

When completing the online application, you will provide information about your work and geographic area preferences. Please ensure that your resume includes all relevant education information, work experience, training and certifications. 

When can I expect to hear back after submitting my application? 

Once you’ve applied, you’ll receive confirmation that your application is being processed. Within two business days of applying, a staffing consultant will connect with you to discuss your qualifications, position opportunities and schedule an interview.

What are the salary ranges and incentives for registered nurses? 

The hourly wage rate for a registered nurse will vary based on the classification of the position and is visible on the job board.

General information about current wage rates for each classification level is outlined in the collective agreement that is posted on the Prince Edward Island Nurses Union website.  

Recruitment incentives and relocation allowance for registered nurses may be available to successful candidates in exchange for a return in service agreement.
