Register for the Talking Book Service
DAISY audiobooks are designed specifically for people with print disabilities. You can search for DAISY titles using the library’s online catalogue and have them mailed to your home free of charge. You can also browse in person for titles at the Confederation Centre Public Library. You can borrow up to 10 DAISYs for up to six weeks; specialized DAISY players are also available.
This service is available to all Islanders (regardless of age) who have a print disability including a learning, physical, or visual disability.
How do I access the talking book service?
To register, complete and submit the online application form or call Public Library Service Headquarters at (902) 961-7320. Once you register, a library staff member will contact you to ask which services you are interested in using.
The Talking Book Service is a partnership between the Public Library Service and the Centre for Equitable Library Access.
