Request a Health Care Futures Student
Site Application extension open from May 13 until May 18, 2020.
The Health Care Futures Program exposes Grade 12 graduates and post-secondary students to health care fields in Prince Edward Island.
Is my health care facility eligible to apply?
Please note: The Health Care Futures Program site application extension is not open to Private and Public Long Term Care and Community Care facilities, ICU, Emergency Departments, or Unit 3 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as per Health PEI's direction in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Summer full-time work placements (37.5 hours per week) starting in June (11 weeks) and July (8 weeks) are offered to eligible students currently enrolled in a post-secondary health program and students who graduate Grade 12 in June and plan to pursue a health career.
The Health Care Futures program is committed to providing a well-rounded, full-time work experience to students pursuing a career in health care. If you do not have enough work to accommodate a student full-time, please consider sharing or rotating duties and work hours among other areas within your facility.
