Request a Summer Student for a Health Care Facility
The Health Care Futures Program exposes grade 12 graduates and post-secondary students to health care fields in Prince Edward Island.
Is my health care facility eligible to apply?
Public health care facility or a fully licensed private nursing home that can provide a summer employment opportunity for one or more students to work along side health professionals to gain meaningful work experience while contributing to your health care services are eligible to apply.
Summer full-time work placements (37.5 hours per week) starting in June (11 weeks) and July (8 weeks) are offered to eligible students currently enrolled in a post-secondary health program and students who graduate Grade 12 in June and plan to pursue a health career.
The Health Care Futures program is committed to providing a well-rounded, full-time work experience to students pursuing a career in health care. If you do not have enough work to accommodate a student full-time, please consider sharing or rotating duties and work hours among other areas within your facility.
Program is subject to change based on budget approval.
