Instrument Tracking Software- Health PEI, Queen Elizabeth Hospital - SPD
Queen Elizabeth Hospital is interested in the provision and establishment of an instrument tracking software system for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Sterile Processing Department to electronically manage trays, sets and individual instruments through the processes of decontamination, inspection, assemble, pack, sterilization, case carting, storage, distribution and maintenance and repair history.
The initial purchase will be to establish the Tracking System in the Sterile Processing Department with the vision in the future to expand to the Surgical Suite Service and have the ability to associate the instruments to an individual patient/client.
Proponent will be responsible for working with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Sterile Processing Department to ensure that the software will perform according to specifications and identify and address all site and environmental conditions, which could impact on full functionality.
Proponent provides connectivity and any necessary upgrades to interface with all identified QEH Processing equipment listed (appendix) so that all equipment parameters (print outs) are viewed in real time and paperless at the time of implementation
Proponent provides tools to allow QEH SPD Processing staff to convert data files in existing systems into usable files. The data conversion performance will be supported by the proponent on site.
Proponent shall outline in detail in the pre installation, the requirements of Health PEI to facilitate implementation.
