Construction Method 1: Cold planing 2.4 metre s along the shoulder on each side of the road (1.2
metres asphalt and 1.2 metres of existing shoulder material) (55 mm), placing asphalt leveling (55
mm) in cold planed areas, placing asphalt seal B (45 mm) full width, shouldering and all other
work necessary to complete the Contract.
Construction Method 2: Cold plane existing asphalt full depth, earth excavation, placing select
borrow, placing granular base A (200 mm), placing asphalt base A (65 mm), placing asphalt seal
B (45 mm), placing driveway culverts, ditching, landscaping, and all other work necessary to
complete the Contract.
