The state of public health emergency, which was declared on March 16, 2020 under the Public Health Act, was lifted on Tuesday, April 5 at 11:59 pm.

The Chief Public Health Office continues to work closely with the federal government, provincial and territorial counterparts, government departments and Health PEI to monitor the COVID-19 situation globally, nationally and locally.

To limit the spread of COVID-19, the Chief Public Health Office has issued guidance documents that residents are encouraged to follow.
