Experienced business development officers provide information, guidance and resources to new and existing entrepreneurs on PEI. Assistance and professional development is offered at key stages of business from start up to expansion and in essential areas including export, financing, and product research and innovation.

Any individual, company or organization, who can supply goods that the Province requires, is eligible to compete for Prince Edward Island Government business through the tendering process. The Province advertises and distributes tenders for goods and services online.

Access to financial capital is essential for small and medium-sized businesses to prosper and grow to full potential. Island manufacturers, processors and service providers, especially those exporting to domestic and international markets may be eligible for a repayable loan, rental subsidy, or a wage or tax incentive. Many properties can be customized according to needs.  Current infrastructure supports business incubation, innovation, growth and success in areas such as bioscience, information technology, light manufacturing and food processing.
