Pesticide Vendor Exams

You must successfully complete a written exam to obtain a pesticide vendor certificate. This certificate allows you to provide information and recommendations to your customers concerning the use and purchase of a domestic or non-domestic pesticide. A pass mark of 75 per cent is required. All pesticide exams are administered by the Department of Communities, Land and Environment.

What are the fees?

$75 is the cost of a pesticide vendor certificate. There is no HST. The fee must be paid before the exam is written. Payment can be made by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to the Minister of Finance. 

Where can I find training material for the exam?

On-line training material is available to help you study for a pesticide applicator certificate exam. Printed copies can be purchased from the Department of Communities, Land and Environment located at Jones Building, 11 Kent Street, 4th Floor.
