Envirothon 2020 Water Resources Management: Local Control and Local Solutions
For 2020, Nebraska has chosen Water Resources Management: Local Control and Local Solutions for their 5th topic.
In broad terms, Nebraska is looking at issues and challenges facing Natural Resources Districts as they seek to implement local policy and local management to protect water users by;
- Understanding administrative structures and processes for managing water uses and supplies;
- Understanding ground and surface water hydrology and connectivity;
- Understanding the economic, social and environmental impacts of projects and policy decisions.
