Forests, Fish and Wildlife is a division of the P.E.I. Department of Environment, Water and Climate Change.
What services does the Forests, Fish and Wildlife division provide?
Forests, Fish & Wildlife encompasses several sections, including:
Field Services
- managing public forest lands
- providing forest management advice and assistance to private forest owners
- overseeing wildfire suppression on P.E.I.
Production Development (nursery operations)
- producing Acadian Forest tree and shrub species for planting programs
Fish and Wildlife
- licensing anglers, hunters and trappers
- training for firearms safety, hunter safety and bow hunting safety and trapping
- offering wildlife management programs and services
Resource Inventory Management
- collecting data and mapping Island forests
