Office of the Employer Advisor
The Office of the Employer Advisor provides Prince Edward Island employers and employer associations with free and confidential advice, assistance, representation and education on matters under the Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, independent of the Workers Compensation Board.
What can the Employer Advisor do for me?
The employer advisor can offer you independent advice, representation and training in:
• Managing claims
• Appealing decisions
• Classification and assessments
• Workplace health and safety
In addition, the employer advisor will help you prepare submissions to the Internal Reconsideration Officer (IRO) and the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT).
Will I have to pay for the Employer Advisor’s services?
You will not be charged for this service. The assessments you pay to the Workers Compensation Board of PEI funds the Office of the Employer Advisor.

WCB Grant Program:
Program applicants may include employers, business associations, community organizations, non-profit organizations, unions and labour organizations who are implementing Safety Programs and/or Return to Work Programs in their organization. Eligible projects may receive funding support to a maximum of $75,000, and must be completed within 12 months of the start date.
First intake of applications must be received by the WCB no later than September 21, 2018.
