Acreage Loss Benefit

The Acreage Loss Benefit Program is a non-yield based plan for unharvested acres due to an insurable peril. Coverage is available for:
- Sweet Corn
Perils Covered
The program covers losses during the crop year caused by one or more of the following designated perils, which are found in Section 8 of the AgriInsurance Agreement:
- Insect infestation and plant disease;
- Hail;
- Frost;
- Drought;
- Excessive moisture;
- Wind;
- Damage from wildlife; and
- Any unavoidable loss due to adverse weather conditions beyond the control of the insured.
The Acreage Loss Benefit schedule can be found in the AgriInsurance Agreement.
Coverage Levels and Unit Prices
Coverage levels are set out by schedules in the Agreement and are commodity specific.
