There are pockets of natural gas deposits under Prince Edward Island, but their exact size and location is unknown because only 20 exploratory wells have been drilled on and around the province.
Where can I find exploratory well data for PEI?
Contact the Energy and Minerals Division for information on the onshore and offshore wells drilled on or around the province. You can get copies of data and reports during regular office hours. Well logs can be released to the public one year after the rig release date for wild cat wells.
