Early Childhood Educator Record of On-going Training Hours

Your early childhood educator certification is valid for three years from the date it is issued. To renew your certification, you must complete 45 hours of approved professional development during the three years before its expiry. 

Please use the online form below to submit your record of training hours and copies of workshop certificates or any documents related to training completion as well as your updated CRC/VSS.

Please note: A maximum ten hours of authorized in-service training in a three-year period will be accepted. For unique training not offered through the Early Childhood Development Association, you must request approval from the registrar.

What do I need to complete the online form?

You will be asked to provide:

• Personal identity and contact information
• Current ECE certification category and its expiry date 
• Training and PD workshop (upload field provided to include copies):
  • Name of the workshop
  • Workshop date
  • Number of hours
• Updated Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (upload field provided)

How long will it take to process my submission? 

Please submit your record of hours one month before your current certification expires.
