About Beach Grove Home

Beach Grove Home is a 120-bed combined long-term care facility located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. There are three households (Meadow, Harbour and Sunset), each with dining and communal living spaces, as well as access to beautiful outdoor courtyards.

Two respite beds are available at Beach Grove Home.

What is the admission process?

You or your loved one’s individual care needs will be evaluated through a standard health assessment.
Generally, there are two types of service:

1. Short-term – for respite, to provide short-term relief to caregivers.
2. Long-term – for permanent care, however, individuals can be discharged if their condition improves and they so desire.

What activities are offered?

Beach Grove Home offers coordinated activities to help meet your physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs, either individually or in a group. Activities include crafts, gardening, musical entertainment, bingo, outings, pet therapy, and many more. 

Can I volunteer?

Volunteers add a very special element to our care, and are an integral part of the team. There are limitless ways in which residents can benefit. These opportunities can enrich both their lives and those graciously contributing. You can apply online, or call 902-368-5792 for more information.

Can I make a donation to Beach Grove Home?

The Beach Grove Home Memorial Fund gratefully accepts donations. These contributions are used to purchase materials and equipment that will enhance the residents’ quality of life that are not available through other sources of funding. Donations may also be made to the Beach Grove Home Resident’s Council, or Beach Grove Home Courtyards.
