Seniors' Secretariat Grant

As part of its mandate, the PEI Seniors’ Secretariat provides funding to community-based organizations for projects that align with the priorities of the Seniors’ Secretariat. 

Is my organization eligible to apply?

The following are examples of organizations that are eligible to apply:

  • Senior-serving clubs and organizations
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Community-based coalitions and networks
  • Municipal governments
  • Organizations that support Indigenous peoples. 

How many applications can my organization submit?

Organizations can submit up to two applications, each requesting up to $5,000.00.

Is there anything that my organization needs to do before applying?

Prior to applying, organizations should review the Seniors’ Secretariat Grant Funding Guidelines (2025-2026). Applications that do not adhere to the guidelines will not be considered for funding.

How can my organization apply?

Applicants must use the Seniors’ Secretariat Grant Application (2025-2026) template. 

Completed applications can be submitted by:

When is the deadline to submit an application?

Applications for the 2025-2026 funding cycle must be submitted before Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 4:00pm.

When will I know if my organization is receiving funding?

All applications are reviewed by a subcommittee of the Seniors’ Secretariat. Due to the review process and the anticipated number of applications, it is expected that organizations will know if they are receiving funding by July 2025.
