PEI Renal Program
If you or a loved one requires dialysis, investigation, or management of kidney disease, the PEI Renal Program is a community-based service that can help you.
What services are offered?
Depending on your need, there are two types of dialysis services you can access, peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis. These services provide you with assistance and support from a comprehensive health care team.
What are the facts about peritoneal dialysis? View the Peritoneal Dialysis brochure [PDF | 414 KB] for more information on peritoneal dialysis care in PEI.
View the Hemodialysis Patient Guide [PDF | 1.45 MB] for more information on hemodialysis, staying healthy, your hemodialysis schedule and more.
What is the Provincial Renal Clinic?
The Provincial Renal Clinic investigates and aides in the management of your renal (kidney) disease. The Renal Clinic nurses will work with you along with a dietitian, social worker, and nephrologists to offer you holistic patient-centered care in your renal disease treatment.

For more information on hemodialysis for visitors contact the renal program administrator at 902-303-7069.
