Recall issued for Glasgow Glen Farm red chili gouda cheeses

The Chief Public Health office is issuing a recall for certain varieties of Glasgow Glen Farm gouda cheese due to possible contamination by E. coli.

Glasgow Glen farm is recalling certain red chili gouda cheese slices and baby wheels packaged in September 2021.  

Recalled products include:

  • Red chili gouda cheese slices
    • Packaged date: September 23, 2021 and September 29, 2021
    • Best before date: December 23, 2021 and December 29, 2021
    • Sold at Glasgow Glen Farm
  • Red chili waxed baby gouda wheels 
    • Product code 26A821
    • Sold September 10 – 24, 2021 at Glasgow Glen Farm

Consumers should not consume the recalled product listed above.

Check to see if you have the recalled product in your home. Recalled products should be thrown out.

If you think you have become ill from consuming a recalled product, contact your doctor or nurse practitioner.

This recall was triggered by finished product test results. The Department of Health and Wellness has completed a food safety investigation, which will not lead to the recall of other products. 

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
