Published date: February 10, 2025
Publication type: Statistical Report

Population projections are a fundamental tool to understand the trends in the overall size and composition of a population. This set of population projections are prepared every five years by Statistics Canada to provide organizations with a basis on which to analyze and make planning decisions on issues that are population dependant, such as estimating the future demand for schools, hospitals, long-term care, and the size of the labour force.
