How do I apply?

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost an insured barn during Hurricane Fiona.  I received an insurance payment and a small payment under the Fiona Agriculture Support Program but this did not cover the cost to replace the barn.  Am I eligible for anything under this program?

Yes.  You are eligible for the extra costs you incurred during the rebuild over and above your insurance and Fiona program payment, to a maximum of 75% of the insured value of the building.

I did not have insurance on the farm building that I lost.  Am I eligible to apply to this Fund?

No, only insured assets are eligible under this Fund.

I lost some product in storage due to the power outage.  Am I eligible for any reimbursement for the value of this product?

Product in storage that was lost may be eligible for assistance, providing it was not eligible for insurance or other disaster relief funding.

I am just beginning to rebuild my destroyed agriculture building.  When does the build need to be completed?

Eligible costs must be incurred prior to March 31, 2024.

I had farm equipment that was damaged during Fiona.  Are repair or replacement costs eligible?

For farm equipment to be eligible, you will need to provide insurance documentation.  This new Fund will cover a portion of repair or replacement costs (to a maximum of 75% of the equipment’s insured value) that was not already covered under insurance or another government program.
