Emergency department, several services closed at KCMH until 12pm noon
The Kings County Memorial Hospital emergency department, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and ambulatory care services will be closed today until 12 p.m. noon due to the presence of smoke in those areas of the hospital.
There is no impact to the in-patient care at this time and hospital officials reassure the public that all patients and staff are safe.
Hospital administration is working with appropriate authorities to safely address the situation and a further update will be provided by 11 a.m.
