In 2019, the PEI Department of Agriculture’s (PEIDA) Sustainable Agriculture Section initiated a manure sampling project on multiple farms across PEI.

This document was developed by the PEI Department of Agriculture for the purpose of outlining various crops and livestock that are produced on PEI.

This publication is intended to give direction for sustainable manure management practices on Prince Edward Island, as well as for beneficial management practices current at the time of publication.

This booklet is a practical guide to help the agricultural community continue to be more environmentally responsible and gain maximum return from their waste resources.
