Brae Harbour Road bridge being replaced

Crews will be replacing the Brae Harbour Road bridge on Route 170 due to the current structure reaching the end of its service life.

Dates: 

Monday, November 24, with completion expected by late January of 2026.

Traffic: 

All traffic will continue through the site during the construction.

Traffic will move in both directions using a single lane, with stop-and-go signals controlling when vehicles can take their turn.

Safety: 

  • Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
