Detours in place during Annandale Wharf Road bridge replacement

Published date: February 11, 2026

Motorists are advised that crews will be replacing a pipe on Annandale Wharf Road (Route 60005) in Annandale.

The work is needed because the existing pipe under the road has reached the end of its service life. The old pipe will be removed and replaced with a new concrete structure.

Dates:

Monday, February 16, with construction expected to continue into March. Crews will return in June to complete the paving.

Traffic:

Detours will be in place, and drivers should follow posted detour signs using Annandale Road and Nortons Road.

Safety:

  • Traffic should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.

Stay in the loop and plan your route during road construction:
