John was appointed Acting Deputy Minister for the Department of Education and Early Years in May 2025.
John’s career in government has spanned close to 30 years with the last 23 serving in senior level roles in the education system.
John has been with the Department since 2018 as Executive Director of Educational Services. Prior to John’s involvement with the Department of Education and Early Years, he was Director of Corporate Services with PEI’s Public Schools Branch.
