Cory Deagle was first elected as the MLA for Montague–Kilmuir in the 2019 general election and was re‑elected on April 3, 2023. At 27, he was the youngest MLA elected in the 2019 election.

Mr. Deagle is an active community volunteer extensively involved in youth and amateur sports, serving as a coach and referee for minor hockey and soccer. He has served as Past President of the Montague Minor Hockey Association, former chair of the Norsemen Memorial Hockey Tournament, and is currently co‑chair of the Eastern Eagles Soccer Tournament.

A graduate of Montague Regional High School and the University of Prince Edward Island, Mr. Deagle previously worked as a legislative assistant in the Office of the Official Opposition.

He has served as Minister of Fisheries, Tourism, Sport and Culture; Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure; and Minister of Housing, Land, and Communities. He has also served as Government Whip, Chair of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, and Vice‑Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. In February 2026, he was sworn in as Minister without Portfolio, and will serve as Minister of Health and Wellness.
