Import Honey Bee Material into Prince Edward Island Permit (2025)

What is the purpose of the permit?
The permit allows the holder (importer) to import to PEI the following:
- live honey bees
- genetic material
- used equipment
A Bee Health Certificate is issued by the PEI Department of Agriculture Provincial Apiarist.
How do I apply?
Importers make application to the Provincial Apiarist prior to obtaining a Bee Health Certificate.
Is there legislation?
Honey Bees are regulated under the Animal Health & Protection Act
