PEI Chronic Pain Strategy

The Department of Health and Wellness is inviting Islanders to help shape the province's first Chronic Pain Strategy — a five-year plan to improve care, access, and support for people living with chronic pain.

Chronic pain affects approximately one in five Canadians and has wide-ranging impacts on quality of life, families, and the health system. The draft strategy is built on three priorities: recognizing chronic pain as a health priority in PEI, improving timely and equitable access to care, and ensuring the public knows how to access available resources and supports.

Your voice matters in shaping chronic pain care in PEI.
