Animal Health conference draws international delegation to Charlottetown

VetHealth Global 2017 has been designed to cover many topics important to the global animal health industry

What do you get when you combine senior animal health leaders and experts, innovative bioscience companies, regulators, and investors in one location? The Governments of Canada and Prince Edward Island know that it means growth and development in the animal health industry, and that’s why both levels of government are supporting the PEI BioAlliance in its efforts to coordinate 2017 Vet Health Global – The International Animal Health and Nutrition Business Conference.

Sean Casey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Member of Parliament for Charlottetown, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), and the Honourable Heath MacDonald, PEI Minister of Economic Development and Tourism today announced federal and provincial support for the international animal and nutrition business conference that takes place next week in Charlottetown.

Through its Business Development Program (BDP), ACOA is supporting the PEI BioAlliance with a $67,000 contribution towards the cost of coordinating and hosting the conference. The Government of Prince Edward Island, through Innovation PEI is contributing $47,000 toward the conference.

The Conference hosted by the BioAlliance and regional and global industry partners will be held at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel in Charlottetown, June 12-14, 2017. This year marks the sixth biennial meeting held in PEI.  The event includes top industry presenters covering the most critical and timely topics in animal health and nutrition, along with a one-to-one business partnering programs, and presentations from emerging companies in the animal health field.
