Beaconsfield set to brighten this holiday season
Islanders have more ways to enjoy the holiday season this year as the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation hosts the first-ever Beaconsfield Holiday Extravaganza from December 5 to 7.
The festival is part of Discover Charlottetown’s signature holiday programming and offers a full weekend of seasonal activities in one central and historic setting.
“This event brings together community partners, local talent, and small businesses to create a welcoming space for all. By offering free and low-cost activities, we’re making it easier for families to enjoy the holidays and connect with Island traditions.”
— Caitlyn Paxson, programming and education officer for the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation

The schedule features live harp music in the double drawing room, family craft activities, storytelling, and a curated market with Island artisans. Guided tours inside the decorated historic house will showcase the charm of the Victorian era, while festive food and beverages and musical entertainment promise to create a warm and lively holiday experience.
“People already love this site at Christmastime,” Paxson says. “This gives them even more reasons to visit, whether they want to shop local, take part in activities, or simply soak in the season in a memorable way.”
