The PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation recently launched season four of Hidden Island, a series formerly known as Island Digital Voices, and continues to celebrate diverse storytellers from communities across the province.

The season runs from October to March, with a new episode released each month. The first episode is available online at Sukwi'sim (Auntie’s Place). Each video explores a unique part of the Island and features local directors including:

  • Omar Broderick
  • Eric Cerisano
  • Heather Harris
  • Walker MacDonald
  • Judith Mendiolea
  • Hanna Wylie

“It’s been rewarding to watch this series evolve over the years and to have the creative flexibility to push season 4 even further into new territory. Whether it’s the history of a community dinner theatre, a deep dive into a local monster legend, or the personal story of a local, my hope is that Hidden Island becomes a place for all Islanders. We are always open to story pitches.”

— Daniel Brown, series producer

Hidden Island was originally launched as Island Digital Voices in 2021. It is an initiative of the Government of Prince Edward Island, led by PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation, to share stories about Islanders and Island life, and to support new local storytellers.
