Petroleum pricing, April 1, 2017

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 3.0 cents per litre (cpl);

• Furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 1.0 cpl;

• There will be no change in Diesel prices; and

• Propane prices will decrease by 6.0 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc., by 5.8 cpl for Irving Energy

Distribution and Marketing and by 6.1 cpl for Superior Propane.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 107.2 cpl to 108.3 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 73.8 cpl to 74.8 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 78.4 cpl, plus tax.

Increases in the wholesale pricing of gasoline, in particular, related to increased demand coupled with supply interruptions now necessitate the pricing adjustments announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on April 15, 2017.
