The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017:
- diesel prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl); and
- there will be no change in the price of Gasoline, Furnace Oil, Stove Oil or Propane at this time.
Including adjustments for taxes, diesel pump prices at self-serve outlets will now range between 109.3 cpl and 110.4 cpl. Regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will continue to range from 106.8 cpl to 108.0 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will continue to range from 69.9 cpl to 71.3 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to amount to 72.3 cpl, plus tax. Increases in the wholesale price of diesel over the past two weeks now necessitate the price adjustment announced today.
The commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on September 1, 2017.
