Petroleum pricing - December 1, 2017

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2017:

• gasoline prices will decrease by 3.3 cents per litre (cpl);
• there will be no change in the price of furnace oil, stove oil, or diesel at this time; and
• propane prices will increase by 2.2 cents per litre (cpl) for Superior Propane, by 3.1 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and by 2.4 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 112.8 cpl to 114.0 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 84.6 cpl to 85.1 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will continue at 87.2 cpl, plus tax.

Improved wholesale prices for gasoline now afford the price reductions announced today.

The commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on December 15, 2017.
