Petroleum pricing - December 15, 2017

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017:

  • gasoline prices will decrease by 2.5 cents per litre (cpl); and
  • there will be no change in the price of Furnace Oil, Stove Oil, Diesel or Propane at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 109.9 cpl to 111.1 cpl. Pump prices for diesel will continue to range from 124.1 cpl to 125.2 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to amount to 87.2 cpl, plus tax.

A decrease in the wholesale price of gasoline since the Commission’s last adjustment now affords the price decrease announced today.

The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on January 1, 2018.
