Petroleum Pricing - February 13, 2018

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following unscheduled petroleum pricing decision, effective 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018:

  • Gasoline prices will decrease by 5.5 cents per litre (cpl);
  • Furnace and Stove Oil prices will decrease by 5.0 cpl; and
  • Diesel prices will decrease by 5.0 cpl.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 112.8 cpl to 114.0 cpl. Pump prices for diesel will range from 122.1 cpl to 123.3 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 85.5 cpl plus tax.

Significant decreases in the wholesale prices of gasoline, furnace oil and diesel since the Commission’s last adjustment now afford the unscheduled price decreases announced today.

The Commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on February 15, 2018.
