Petroleum pricing, June 1, 2017

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 2.5 cents per litre (cpl);

• There will be no change in the price of Furnace Oil, Stove Oil or Diesel; and

• Propane prices will decrease by 1.6 cents per litre (cpl) for Kenmac Energy, increase by 0.5 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and there will be no change for Superior Propane.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 109.7 cpl to 110.9 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 70.9 cpl to 71.4 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 75.4 cpl, plus tax.

Increases in the wholesale price of gasoline over the past two weeks now necessitate the price adjustments announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on June 15, 2017.
