Petroleum pricing, March 1, 2017

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl);

• Furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 1.0 cpl;

• Diesel prices will increase by 1.0 cpl; and

• Propane prices will decrease by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl) for Kenmac Energy Inc., by 0.6 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and there will be no change for Superior Propane.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 106.6 cpl to 107.8 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 79.6 cpl to 80.9 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 80.4 cpl, plus tax.

Changes in wholesale pricing over this most recent adjustment period now necessitate the pricing adjustments announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on March 15, 2017.
