Petroleum pricing - October 15
The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017:
- gasoline prices will decrease by 1.3 cents per litre (cpl);
- furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 1.8 cpl;
- diesel prices will increase by 1.8 cpl; and
- there will be no change in propane prices at this time.
Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 106.8 cpl to 108.0 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 80.6 cpl, plus tax.
Continued improvement in the wholesale price of gasoline enables the further reduction in pump prices announced today. Seasonal demand pressures on both furnace oil and diesel, however, necessitate the increases for these products.
The commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on November 1, 2017.
