Province launches secure online services to better serve Island residents

October 28, 2025

Island residents can now access a new secure online service called MyPEI Account that gives them access to a variety of government supports digitally, including components of their personal health information.

MyPEI Account is part of the Government of PEI’s initiative to modernize service delivery and give Islanders the flexibility to receive information in a secure way that best suits them. MyHealthPEI is the first service offered through MyPEI Account, with additional services to be rolled out over the next 12 to 24 months.

“Offering a safe, secure and streamlined way to access services gives residents more control and convenience in how they interact with government. It is critical to us that, right from this initial MyPEI Account and MyHealthPEI launch, we are protecting people’s sensitive information with a robust verification system that meets national standards.”

— Minister of Finance Jill Burridge

Developed in collaboration between Health PEI and the Government of Prince Edward Island, MyHealthPEI will allow Island residents to have easier access to components of their personal health information through their MyPEI Account.

“MyHealthPEI is an important step forward in modernizing how Island residents engage with their health information. Having more convenient access to components of their personal health information will support Islanders to more easily manage their health and well-being and empower them to have more informed conversations with their health care providers. We encourage people to explore the initial roll-out of MyHealthPEI by viewing their personal health information and using the available health tools and resources.”

— Minister of Health and Wellness Mark McLane

MyHealthPEI initial features include:

  • Immunization history
  • Recent lab results (from tests taken mid-May 2025 onward)
  • Recent diagnostic imaging reports (from images taken mid-July 2025 onward)
  • Self-entry tools for tracking personal health data (e.g., weight, height, insulin levels, blood glucose, blood pressure, allergies, family history, medical procedures, dietary intake)
  • Integration with select smart devices (e.g., Fitbit, Withings, Garmin and Omron)
  • A library of educational health resources and links to various health services.

Additional features such as medications, expanded lab results and new self-entry tools will be introduced gradually over the next 12 to 18 months.

Residents can still access their health information in person or over the phone. MyHealthPEI is an added option that provides flexibility and convenience.
