Statement by Premier Dennis King on National Construction Day

Hon. Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island issued the following statement on National Construction Day in Canada: 

“November 30th marks the 3rd annual National Construction Day in Canada.

It’s a day for us to recognize the vital role the men and women of PEI’s construction industry play in sustaining, connecting, and growing our province’s communities through infrastructure.

The hard work of these dedicated labourers is the very foundation on which our Island is built.

As our province’s population grows and building projects become increasingly diverse, we rely more than ever on the commitment and versatility of PEI’s construction industry and its workforce.

Today is a day to share the varied stories of our construction workers, to recognize the range of opportunities the business offers, and to celebrate the many achievements of this important industry.”
