Statement by Premier Lantz and Minister Compton on Small Business Week

Hon. Rob Lantz, Premier of Prince Edward Island, and Hon. Darlene Compton, Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Trade, issued the following statement on Small Business Week: 

“This week, we celebrate and thank the small businesses that are the backbone of our Island’s economy and communities. These businesses drive innovation, create jobs, and bring life to our Island communities. 

Island entrepreneurs continue to show resilience and determination, even as they face new challenges. Our government is working to protect Island interests and support small businesses so they can continue to grow and thrive. 

We encourage all Islanders to support local businesses, knowing that when we invest in them, we invest in the future of our Island.”
