Queen Elizabeth Hospital declares outbreak of Norovirus on Unit 8

Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown has declared an outbreak of Norovirus on Unit 8, which cares for general medical patients.

During this time, patients on Unit 8 are restricted to one visitor at a time. Visitor restrictions will remain in place until the outbreak is declared over.   

All visitors and staff to the hospital, including the emergency department, will be asked to follow the current infection control measures, including wearing a mask.  Visitors are reminded not to visit if they are feeling unwell.
