PEI Meat Directory Listing Request

The Prince Edward Island Department of Agriculture is committed to helping Islanders and tourists appreciate and enjoy local meat products. 

To help promote local meat products, the Meat Directory will be hosted online and copies of the Meat Directory will be printed and distributed to locations across PEI.

Producers, processors, and retailers who would like to have their business listed in the Directory are required to register. 

What is the Meat Directory?

The PEI Meat Directory is an annual publication for:

  • Producers, processors, and retailers seeking industry connections
  • Consumers looking for fresh, locally sourced meat products
  • Chefs, restaurant owners, and culinary operators sourcing high-quality local ingredients

The Meat Directory directs consumers to the location where producers sell their products.

Who should participate in the Meat Directory?

Producers, processors, and retailers of Prince Edward Island meat looking to promote their operations should register with the PEI Meat Directory.

What is required to participate? 

  • All businesses must provide a safe and welcoming environment for consumers
  • All applicants should be a meat producer, processor, or retailer

*New participants will be contacted by Department Staff ahead of the 2025 season to coordinate a site visit

What is the cost to participate in the Directory?

There is no cost to be included in the Directory for 2025, but applicants are required to register online. 

What is the deadline to register for the Meat Directory listing?

Submissions for the 2025 Meat Directory are due by November 15, 2025.

What do I need to complete the online form?

You will be asked to provide the details you want included in your listing including:

  • Current contact details, including your website or social page address
  • Location of your farm or storefront
  • Type of meat products and services you offer (select from checklist provided)
  • Any additional farm information
