Renew Your Mechanical Contractor Licence
Inspection Services and Provincial Planning Offices located in Charlottetown and Summerside will reopen to the public on June 15, 2020. Meetings with inspectors or planning staff will be by appointment only.
Montague and O’Leary locations will be accessible to the public by appointment only.
Please be advised that there will be screening protocols and operational procedures in place to protect both the public and our staff.
Clients with appointments are asked to call the staff person they have arranged to meet when they arrive. Directions on when and where to enter the building will be explained.
We wish to remind the public that many of our permits and licenses can be applied for online.

A PEI Mechanical Contractor Licence is valid for maximum three years. All licences issued in the current three-year cycle will expire December 31, 2018. You can click Add a Reminder on the right side of this page to request an automated email when it’s time to renew your licence.
A valid Mechanical Contractor Licence is required to install, alter or repair a boiler, pressure vessel or pressure piping system that falls under the authority of the Boiler and Pressure Vessels Act and regulations.

What do I need to complete the online application?
To renew your licence you must enter your current licence number and submit full payment.
What is the fee?
The cost of a Mechanical Contractor's Licence is $600.00 for three years. There is no HST.
How long will it take to process this online form?
Please allow two weeks to process your application. Your licence will be sent to the address you provided.
