Request for Reconsideration of Materials Policy
Individuals may request a reconsideration of library materials, programs, space rentals, or decisions/policies using the online Public Library Service Request for Reconsideration form.
A PDF copy of the form is also available that users can submit to any public library.
Depending on the nature of the request, submissions will be forwarded to the appropriate library staff member for review. Decisions will be based on the principles outlined in the Library’s Collections Policy, Room Booking Policy and Programs Policy. When the review is completed, the user will be provided with a written explanation of the decision.
Please note that decisions are also based on the principle of intellectual freedom as embodied in the Canadian Federation of Library Associations’ Statement on Intellectual Freedom and Libraries.
