Restricted Electrical Contractor’s Licence Online Application

You can apply for a restricted licence for work in a restricted area of electrical installations in PEI. You or the individual performing the work must be a registered technician for this licence to be issued. The licence authorizes the registered technician identified on the licence to perform the restricted electrical work indicated on the licence.

You can also apply online for a Registered Technician’s License.

Your Restricted Electrical Contractor’s Licence will expire on December 31st and must be renewed each year.

What information do I need to apply online for a Restricted Licence?

You must describe the technical specialty of the work being performed and provide the name and contact information for each registered person performing or supervising the work.

You must submit full payment.

How long will it take to complete the application?

With the required documentation, you can complete the application in less than 10 minutes

What is the fee for a Restricted Electrical Contractor’s Licence?

The fee for a one-year license is $80

How long will it take to receive my licence?

Allow at least two weeks for your application to be processed.
