A fire ban is in place for PEI, including campfires.
When the fire ban is removed, for Category 1 fires, you must check the Burn Restrictions below or by calling 1-800-237-5053 before you may burn. For Category 2, 3, or 4 fires, you must hold a valid burn permit and you must check that the Fire Weather Index (FWI) below is either low or moderate and wind speeds are less than 20 km/hr before you may burn.
